High Mark Plumbing’s service was impeccable and prompt. We engaged them for a sewer backup issue and they were came immediately and determined the cause and explained in detail what needed to be done and how long it would take. Ryan was very professional and he did an excellent job in fixing the issue. Everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction. When done you could barely tell that there was an issue that was fixed. I would definitely engage High Mark’s services for any future work and recommend them to family and friends. 5 stars to High Mark Plumbing.

I was very surprised to get same day service for a slow ceiling leak. Davy was able to get to the root of the problem quickly and replace the leaking pipe valve that was causing the problem as well as give us some good overall advice. Davy was knowledgeable, courteous and informative. Also when the job was done there was no mess to deal with. I recommend Highmark and would definitely use them again.

Ryan was terrific! He was prompt, knowledgeable and very conscientious. There were some problems getting parts, not Highmark’s fault in any way, but Ryan stayed on top of it, problem solved and as soon as possible was back to install the new part. The steam shower unit is working perfectly and all along Ryan was trying to find the most cost effective options to address the problem. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received from both Ryan and Highmark. I couldn’t recommend them more strongly. Thank you!Post Script to my previous review. I had another project at my home, this one involving both electrical and plumbing work. Again, High Mark exceeded my expectations. They arranged for both Ryan and Sean (the Electrician) to be at my place on the same day, which meant they both knew exactly what needed to be done and who needed to do what. They worked separately but very collaboratively and I got the job done as promised. I required a scope of the perimeter drainage prior to fence construction and Ryan indicated a number of problem areas. My outdoor hose was leaking into our walls and Ryan came to fix it up. He came on time, told me the problem and was able to do the fix right away. He was very friendly, took a bunch of pictures, and told me about a hole in the wall where mice could get in. We had work done in this same area last year and the previous plumber had failed to mention the hole to us. Thanks for the awesome service Ryan! Will definitely be using this company for future work.

Installation was completed very quickly. Andrew, Chris and Brian were excellent, very professional and thorough in their work.This new “condensorless” ductless AC unit is a great install. No big heat exchanger outside, just two 8″ dia holes from the interior unit to draw in and exhaust outside air. Gave very good heat this last week. Can’t wait to use it during the heat of summer.Brian in particular was very thorough and detailed in installing this new kind of ductless ac unit, and the area was spotlessly cleaned afterwards. Turns out he’s one of the owners of the company. When an owner is hands-on and does such fine work, you just know this is a great company to deal with. Highly recommended!

From the start, the office staff were quick to connect us with a site visit within 24 hours. Ryan assessed the basement interior to determine the source of incoming water. Brian assisted the following day to confirm next steps, which involved inspecting and flushing out the perimeter drain tile system. Both Ryan and Brian were knowledgeable, providing timely insight into what could be immediately ruled out.High Mark staff are exceptional at the work they provide. Dave is a great example of how to deliver great customer service. Punctual and methodic.Dave exemplified a level of skill that comes with years of earned experience. My outdoor hose was leaking into our walls and Ryan came to fix it up. He came on time, told me the problem and was able to do the fix right away. He was very friendly, took a bunch of pictures, and told me about a hole in the wall where mice could get in. Installation was completed very quickly. Andrew, Chris and Brian were excellent, very professional and thorough in their work.This new “condensorless” ductless AC unit is a great install. No big heat exchanger outside, just two 8″ dia holes from the interior unit to draw in and exhaust outside air. Gave very good heat this last week. Can’t wait to use it during the heat of summer.Brian in particular was very thorough and detailed in installing this new kind of ductless ac unit, and the area was spotlessly cleaned afterwards. Turns out he’s one of the owners of the company. When an owner is hands-on and does such fine work, you just know this is a great company to deal with. Highly recommended!

How to turn off your water if you have a faucet issue

It’s not uncommon for faucets to malfunction, resulting in water spilling over walls and floors. However, it’s important to remain calm and not panic. You can still stop the water flow by turning off the shut-off valves, which are typically located beneath the sink. These valves are round and come in pairs, one for hot water and one for cold water. Simply turn both clockwise to stop the flow.

At times, the shut-off valves may have become stuck from lack of use. In this case, gently turn the knob back and forth with a pair of pliers until the rubber seat inside loosens. Avoid using excessive force as it could cause more significant plumbing issues. If the valve turns freely but does not shut off the water flow, tighten the set screw on the valve face and try again.
